The 427th District Court tries criminal proceedings in Travis County, Texas. It is one of Texas' newest state district courts, created by an act of the 79th Legislature effective January 1, 2007.

Travis County is served by 17 district courts: 10 for civil matters and seven for criminal matters. Judge Jim Coronado served as the appointed magistrate for Travis County's criminal district courts from 1991 to 2009. He now serves as the elected judge of the 427th.
